Augmented Coca Bear @ SuperUber

An interactive installation where the experience initially resembles a mirror but replaces the visitor's head with the iconic Coca-Cola polar bear when they stand before it. "The bear's head and mouth mimics the movement of the visitor's."

The installation was displayed at Parada Coca-Cola during Rio 2016, a large-scale immersive experience in Rio's revitalized port area.

Technical Implementation

Computer vision algorithms render the bear's head onto the user while tracking facial movements (mouth, eyebrows, nose) to mirror expressions in real-time using Kinect 2.0 and Unity.
